We are proud to support Project Lifesaver with the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office.

What is Project Lifesaver?

This is a reliable rapid-response partnership with the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office aiding in victims and their families suffering from Alzheimer’s.

Project Lifesaver uses state-of-the-art technology employing wristband transmitters to locate wandering and lost adults and children.

Caregivers notify 911 that the person is missing, and a search and rescue team responds to the wanderer’s area and starts searching with the mobile locator tracking system. Search times have been reduced from hours and days to minutes.

The Project Lifesaver bracelet is much more than a passive ID bracelet. It is a one-ounce battery-operated radio wrist transmitter emitting an automatic tracking signal every second, 24 hours a day. Sheriff Deputies are trained and certified to use advanced technology equipment to track signals on the ground or in the air. As each bracelet has a unique radio frequency, the Project Lifesaver search team positively locates and identifies the person who has wandered away from home or a care facility.

Nationally, this program has had a 100% recovery rate with over 3,000 successful rescues across the nation.
